I am interested in the idea of “re-wilding the city”.

This morning I got up to watch the sunrise from our rooftop. I found myself in the green tree tops and surrounded by so many birds. The world up there felt wild and peaceful, without much human interference.

I am wondering if we can tip the asphalt-plant-ratio back towards green and let trees, weeds and birds take the overhand again. I am actually always astonished at how much natural growth pushes through the concrete and still unfolds its creative beauty amongst square architecture. Green beings spiraling their way through the cracks and expressing themselves through anarchistic movements.

Time to become a guerrilla gardener.
